Scope:
Air Freight Module – Invoicing

Description:
Enhance the MAWB status workflow by introducing a new status named VALIDATED. Standard invoice generation should only be permitted once the MAWB file has been updated to this status.

The client requires an additional control step before final invoice generation to ensure all operational and billing data have been reviewed, completed, and approved. This will help reduce premature or incorrect invoice issuance.

Functional Requirements:

• Add a new MAWB status: VALIDATED.
• All system validations must pass before the status can be updated to VALIDATED, including:
  • Mandatory field validations
  • Field/business rule validations
• Include the new status within the existing MAWB status workflow.
• Restrict Standard invoice generation unless MAWB status = VALIDATED.
• If status is not VALIDATED, the system must block invoice generation and display an appropriate validation message.
• User must have the relevant permission rights to update the status to VALIDATED.
• Invoice generation in Draft or Proforma status should remain allowed, based on the existing process.

Acceptance Criteria:

1. VALIDATED status is available in the MAWB status list.
2. User can update the MAWB file to VALIDATED subject to user permissions.
3. System prevents update to VALIDATED if mandatory or field validations fail.
4. Standard Invoice can only be generated when status = VALIDATED.
5. System blocks Standard Invoice generation for any other status.
6. Draft or Proforma invoice generation remains available.
7. Clear validation/error message is displayed when blocked.
8. Existing MAWB workflow remains functional.
