At present, users must re-enter the Goods Description multiple times — once at the Master level, again at the Container level, and once more at the House level.
This repetitive process leads to redundant effort, potential data discrepancies, and higher risk of typographical errors.

To address this, the system should handle Goods Description as follows:

• For FCL shipments → the Goods Description entered at HBL should automatically replicate to the Master BL and Container Reference.
• For LCL shipments → the Goods Description should not be mandatory at Master and Container level; users may enter it only at HBL level if needed.

1. FCL Logic¶

• Goods Description entered at HBL should automatically:

  • Update Goods Description in the Container Reference and Master BL records with the one entered in the HBL.

  • Any update at the HBL level for FCL should prompt:

    “Goods Description has changed. Do you want to update all linked records (Master and Container)?”

    • On user confirmation, propagate the change to linked entities.

2. LCL Logic¶

• Goods Description should not be mandatory at Master or Container level.
• The field remains editable but optional at those levels.
• Validation checks apply only to the HBL description field.
