Description

_**Description:**_ Develop a functional Cost and Sales Module for both Ocean & Air Import and Ocean & Air Export functionalities within the Freight Forwarding System to efficiently input, track, and analyze costs associated with each job at both the Master and house level, and calculate profitability accurately.

Development:

  • Design UI for job cost management.
  • Develop functionality to add and manage different cost/charges types.
  • Develop frontend components for inputting, viewing, and analyzing costs associated with each job.
  • Integrate frontend components with backend APIs to enable seamless data flow.

Fields:

  • Job Reference: This will link costs and sales data to a specific job (linked to MBL/MAWB reference number).

  • Cost/Charges Type: This allows categorization of expenses incurred (e.g., Ocean Freight, Inland Charges, Terminal Handling, Insurance).

  • Cost/Charges Description: This provides a brief explanation of the cost (e.g., "Ocean Freight Charges from Port A to Port B").

  • Cost/Charges Amount: This captures the numerical value of the expense.

  • Currency: This specifies the currency in which the cost is denominated (e.g., USD, EUR).

  • VAT Rate: This allows users to associate the applicable Value Added Tax rate with the cost (may require pre-defined options or allow customization).

  • Sales/Charges Type: This allows categorization of expenses incurred (e.g., Ocean Freight, Inland Charges, Terminal Handling, Insurance).

  • Sales /Charges Description: This provides a brief explanation of the sales (e.g., "Ocean Freight Charges from Port A to Port B").

  • Sales /Charges Amount: This captures the numerical value of the expense.

  • Sales Currency: This specifies the currency in which the sales is denominated (e.g., USD, EUR).

  • Sales VAT Rate: This allows users to associate the applicable Value Added Tax rate with the sales (may require pre-defined options or allow customization).

  • Revenue: This captures the total revenue generated by the job.

  • Currency: This specifies the currency in which the revenue is denominated (normally same as cost currency).
