Acceptance Criteria:¶

1. Report Generation

   • The system should provide a VAT Return CSV file under the reports module.
   • Users should be able to generate the report based on a specific VAT period (e.g., Monthly).
   • The report should be exportable in CSV format, following MRA/MNS guidelines.

2. Report Contents
   The report should include the following columns:

   • VAT Payer TAN
   • VAT Payer Business Registration Number (BRN)
   • VAT Payer Full Name
   • VAT Period
   • Telephone Number
   • Mobile Number
   • Name of Declarant
   • Email Address
   • VAT Registration No. of person to whom supplies is made
   • Name of person to whom supplies is made
   • Value of Supplies (MUR)
   • VAT Amount (MUR)
   • Date of Invoice
   • Invoice Number
   • BRN of person to whom supplies is made

   Please refer to the comments section for additional details related to the specs.

3. Validations

   • Only invoices within the selected VAT period should be included in the report.
   • VAT-exempt invoices should be clearly marked.
   • Users should be able to view and verify transactions before submission.

4. Permissions & Access Control

   • Only authorised users (e.g., the finance team) should have access to generate and export this report.
   • Salespersons should not have access to VAT reports.

5. Export & Submission

   • The report format should be compatible with MRA (Mauritius Revenue Authority) VAT submission requirements or MNS VAT submission requirements.
   • Users should be able to download the report in the required format for easy submission.

Additional Notes:¶

• The report should be accessible for historical data tracking and auditing purposes.
